We welcome children from 3 months to 5 years on either a full day or sessional basis. We are open 51 weeks a year, closed for the week between Christmas and New Year. Our hours of opening are 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

We are team of warm and friendly professional staff who are dedicated and experienced. We are approachable and friendly and encourage feedback as much as possible. We continually assess our provisions with the aim of providing excellent facilities now and in the future.

We provide a safe and secure homely setting where your child can flourish, develop, and learn, through child lead organised play and learning opportunities which will nurture their potential as an individual. We work closely with your childs home network to meet their specific. We follow the “Early Years Foundation Stage” curriculum to ensure a complete learning and developmental experience. We keep portfolios of your child’s time at Montys as well as using “My Unique Story” to track your child’s development and plan for the next steps whilst at Monty’s. The “Unique Story” will be given to parents regularly to share information and achievements and show progression. The document will follow your child to their first school to help create a smooth transition.

We use a Key worker system where your child will have one member of staff assigned to them. This helps create a bond between your child, the staff and you, the parent. The key worker will be able to tell you how your child has been whilst at Monty’s on a day to day basis.

We have three dedicated areas for children. The baby unit has all the sensory needs at low level height to encourage play and interaction right from the start. The two to three year room and the three to five year rooms are designed to encourage free flow access to toys, artwork and imaginative play throughout the day. Our garden is designed to encourage as much time outside as possible. Children grow their own fruit and vegetables which they enjoy eating as often as possible. Children can play in the sand, on ride-ons or play on the slide to their heart’s content. Children enjoy the use of the woodland walk and the fields adjoining the nursery for “teddy bear “picnics and exploration outings.

At Monty’s we understand that children of all faiths, religions, ethnicity, background and lifestyles are just as important as each other. We like to share our interests and beliefs and learn about the different ways we live. All the children and staff have something special that they can bring to the nursery and share.
